November already

Wow I really should post more often here but well I guess I've been caught up in work and stuff since I went back and well been busy doing other stuff like facebook :P..
Well today I was going to try and plant some bulbs, I managed to get a few planted last sunday but well like then it's raining so no outside work today and I do need to give the lawn a quick once over..
I also really need to get a move on and start getting Christmas presents. I know but well I better start now...
The bathroom is being remodel this week, i picked up the tiles for that yesterday, got new flooring to go down and just awaiting the work starting so it can all be done..
I'm good the meds are working good :) See the doc again on Thursday about it..

Another month is almost gone

Hmm it's almost the end of June already, where the heck has time gone this year.

Let me see what's been happening, well couple of new people starting at work to replace some that are leaving, all I will say is this "thank god, amen!".
Oh yeah if you like cherries, try and pick up some Spanish Picota cherries, if it says anything other than "product of Spain" it lies and you should report the supplier for fraud as well these cherries have well let's just call it "international food copyright" I would say they are good but got some on Saturday afternoon with the shopping and by Sunday they were finished, nice sweet juicy and most snackable.
I'm off to see Transformers 2 on Wednesday and Harry Potter on the 15th got my tickets for both.
Oh I am no gardener I have discovered this although I've not really killed anything well maybe one or two things that weren't in the best of health and got a little dry although I am watering everything pretty much every day that it needs it, if I not too frazzled! I have been picking fresh peas as well although they were meant to be planted outside of the greenhouse someone didn't think right and well lets just say they grew a lot quicker than they thought and thus got stuck in there since it would have been foolish to try and move them as I discover when I tried to move one slightly it's now almost dead, hanging on in there.. there is one corner that pretty much dead it's was a stupid place to plant something it's where the outside tap is in the corner where you don't really pay it any attention so not really my fault, my sister is the gardener not me..
Oh Mel, Laura, Barb I've had to repot those lilies you sent and I think I may have to split 1 maybe 2 of them into smaller plants as they are getting rather big and out growing what pots I can find, maybe I should go get some more pots?

Well someone has stepped forward and come up with the required money for the health insurance so Hannah can visit Disneyland and not have to worry about any medical bills
If I read the article correctly it up to 3 million pounds of insurance cover or maybe it was higher still..

In other news -
Apparently someone leaked the BNP members list - Ophs, I mean I can't see why no-one would want people to know they are "members" of a party that well is Neo-Nazi in nature, hates non-whites, but is unfortunately a "legal" political party here but well shall we say certain professions ban you from being a member of it as it could possibly "color" your judgment, get it...

The Scandal of "Baby P" who was basically tortured to death by his evil twisted stepfather, his mother and a lodger they had staying with them it was "missed" by the local Social Services and it had been noted that social services did have chances to save the baby but no they sent it back for more torture as well "that's the right thing to do" - Political correctness / EU Human right bollox are to blame and they are wondering why the "Public at large" are baying for their blood in this, even if they didn't actually kill the baby, they should still hang their collective heads in SHAME, I mean a doctor examined him 2 days before he died and missed a broken spine..
The 4 or 5 involved in this are basically being very kindly asked to Resign..
There have been a few cases like this over the years so it proves that lessons learned from previous cases haven't been learned at all..

Another "Scandal" is the government allowing the merger of HBOS with Lloyds TSB I mean with a little more cash injection from the government HBOS could have been kept independent but NO screw over the customers... If this all goes up "shit creek without the proverbial paddle" Mr Brown - my vote will go else where...
A little note here - I do have the power to vote him out of his parliamentary seat..

Well this is really just a short, short update to say yeah the house is now totally and utterly finished everything is in it's place and as soon as I can I'll try and put some photos up, pre / post.
I'll warn ya now the pre ones are a bit scary and not for the faint hearted lol... It's like if this was your house would you really wanna be here...

In other news, well work is work got everything in place for as much automation as possible I do hope..
I got most of it written down some place too incase I'm off.. I really should re-write it in a neater multipage format so anyone can take over if needed without having to call anyone, i.e me or the accounts manager as well she's a pain in the ass and I'd get it in the neck for not explaining / leaving notes, probably will anyway but I'm not giving her a fucking excuse to be rude as fuck to me, only person who can get away with that is the boss, he never would be rude, not intentionally.
Oh yeah it's someone's birthday tomorrow as well..
So you may wish to slip over to her blog and wish her a happy birthday, I won't say how old she is as well I'm too much of a gentleman for that.

Well I'd rather be someplace else right now than here, although the painter is meant to start THURSDAY!!, mum arrives back on Sunday. Need I say anymore?

Now as to where that someplace could be is anyone's guess, bleh why do we need passports...

Speaking of which back to that - trying to get something to appear on another image, should be simple, but it's not working even if everything says it SHOULD!

And Then . . .

And then there was a week where 0 happened...
Serious 0 happened last week, the decorator appears to be MIA somewhere else, didn't book him so can't confirm or deny he actually said he'd come but I have his number it will be getting called. Mum does know all this as she did ask and I don't lie to mum it's not needed. The "Twins" are buying the house they go see the bank et al tomorrow about it all, but from the looks of it they get the mortgage I pay the bloody thing as well as food etc.. fair hell no but I am totally and utterly past caring bloody more anymore...
They said it will be between this and that, and this will happen and if this happens we'll discuss it at the time,etc., etc. I went "fine" in a pissed off tone.. I was told ".. well you had the chance to buy it, we didn't think you wanted to so we're buying it.". I went "fine" to that too..
Oh and after 15 yrs then it's their "profit" time unless I've bought them out so to speak blah, blah, blah, blah, blah!
Oh they've figured out I'm pissed off at the painter not arriving but apprently he's been called 4 times and no return calls...

And so it Ends, yet so it Begins I think!

Ok time for that weekly update, I will dear reader try to post more, I know, I know I keep saying that!
Okay so what's begins and what's ended I here you say...
Well my dear colleague at work has decided she no longer wants to be my friend, her loss, more later this is the summary paragraph. As to the begins well the painter is meant to be starting this week but I just found out today he doesn't know all the paint that's to be used ARGH!

Ok, now on to the reasoning behind the ending, I tell you this it's petty to say the least, she picked the wrong night to annoy me is all I will say. Now last Monday we were meant to go out and see the new "Indian Jones" movie, which I saw today with my nephew and his friend, well I needed to spend quality time with him and it was either a movie or bowling, and believe you me bowling was out. Anyway back to point, I send my now ex-friend a text message saying I still had a bit to do in the house and I wanted it done for the painter coming in or words to that effect, it's not like she's not called off nights out before, see a few previous posts for that. Well I actually did nothing on Monday as after work I was totally shattered having worked quite a long day on the Sunday, all weekend was work. I had said the movie was "on hold" meaning we could reschedule for a later date, I was thinking of today for that but that was blown totally! Now I had said this to her, that I was sorry but I had too much to do and I actually ended up doing nothing. Friday it all comes out, I was tired and she comes out with something like you should try a weekend shift in here and well then goes on about how she was looking forward to seeing the movie on Monday and how it put a damper on her day (or something like that), I went "Now you know how I felt!" real close and to her face......
Of course this got the exact reaction I expected, yeah she's that predictable, I got
that it wasn't very nice and that's she's always given me a days notice if she wasn't going to be able to make it, well that's Bollocks for a start, I've seen me ready to head out the door when my phone's went for her to cancel!! I have went myself a few times as I've really wanted to see the film in question, anyway later on I check my phone and see 2 messages, 1st message read Bye, let's just keep this professional or something like that basically friendship over, her loss... 2nd message was a sorry for what she said earlier, I reply as it was the later message I think with okay, you mean the "Bye" message, I get back "No, not that and don't phone me at Home!", I went "okay, this will be the last text message I send to you", done and dusted. I mean as I was driving home, my phone goes it's my "colleague" I had put one of the phones in the office on divert to another basically got a few phones in the place some It's okay to divert others it's not advisable to divert, we got main office phone + 5 other phones for various things. Now it's simple enough to divert / remove divert it's a standard code followed by extn / external number , I had one phone diverted to the main phone and got a call on how to cancel it. I "blinked" at this, I went it's as the same code as you use to divert it after you've come back in the office, she went on about it would be hard later on when she went to lock up and had to divert the phone to the mobile we got, I shook my head at this, and NO she's not blonde, if she was she could be forgiven....

Now onto the "beginning" or is it, I have no actual idea if the painter is starting this week or not as like I said he don't know what all the paint colours he needs, Why oh WHY could someone not have told me this LAST week and this could have been all sorted out, Freaking Secret service would be less trouble. Oh that and well my sister who arranged it all hasn't actually heard from him a start date, can you believe that... If he don't freaking start tomorrow or Tuesday I think I go "nucking futs" at someone, and dear reader can ya blame me.

Okay now onto what else has been happening since my last post.
Well like I said the laminate flooring in the upstairs hall was "okay" but i felt it floated around a bit as well dear dad had fitted it under the skirting and some if not all of the walls have nothing really at the bottom to stop anything just going on, result the boards could move about. I took it all out and relaid it with the correct bits to go under the doors, although I had to modify them so the fitted right. That's almost done as I did that yesterday and today mainly all the boards had to be cut a slow task as some had cut outs to go around the woodwork / pipework, just need to trim a few more boards and I'm done it will be all tight and won't move well it will at the stairs but I need speak to the carpet fitter and see what he's doing so I can get the right part for there. Kitchen is done, I've not checked a few of the windows as I think they are all sanded enough to be painted, will find out soon enough, well maybe :P. I do know that the 2 bedrooms are fine as is the living room.
I did take Monday off and who can blame me I worked non-stop last weekend, just like I did this weekend I stopped last night at 11pm this was from about 10am, did some shopping, put washing on, did some of the floor, dumped all the bags of wall paper I had kicking about, lost count of the number of these, a lot is all I can say, back to the floor, ate, floor till 11pm - it was dark and I was screwing up, I've managed to cover up the few screw ups - not really my fault just seems strange I measured it very accurately and was too short sometimes :(. Well Wednesday was a fun morning, we'd arranged an uplift of stuff that was going out and well no-one had told me it needed to go out on Tuesday night so it had to go out Wednesday morning, before breakfast had been eaten as well and before "Tea" had even touched my lips! Well we also had the council in to replace the kitchen ceiling as water had leaked through it and it had black mold on it not nice at all! Nice new ceiling now. Finished the Kitchen between Thursday and Friday nights. I'm taking the week off as I don't think I need to do anything next week at home.
Oh and I persuaded mum to stay away another week, "brownie" points to me..

Sunday Update

Remember how I said all that needed doing was the kitchen after I'd finished the spare room erm well I found out the spare room ceiling was being redone as well as the paint / paper was cracking so off it came slowly got most of it yesterday. The top landing ceiling was to come off as well, this basically leads down the stairs now thankful (or rather unthankfully there was a "false ceiling" put in at some point so as to make it easier to paper the ceiling it's either that or you have a piece of ceiling which is about 12 ft high to try and get to and paper not easy at all, now thing was the ceiling looked loose or rather one part did as you could move it with you hand like it just needed renailed but of course had to check behind it to find where to put the nail and see........
Well erm at some point many, many years ago the council put insulation in the attic, not the standard yellow coloured "glass wool" insulation you see, this was what looks like recycled shreaded paper - great insulator / noise killer, anyway at some point or other, before / after someone must have put their foot through the ceiling right near the top of the false ceiling (perhaps the reason it was done), anyway of course you can imagine what's happened quite a quantity of this paper stuff had fallen in. We took it off to have a look end well, 4 bags + a load in the bin later, we had cleared it away, of course dust everywhere because it was that fine.
So today I spent doing a little bit of ironing either that or no shirt, trousers for work tomorrow, finishing off the ceiling in the spare room, sweeping all that into a black bag. Doing the same to the top landing ceiling so those are all done.
Now all that is left is the kitchen and all I now need to do is check all the windows are sanded down sufficiently to paint it. Oh yeah and I noticed the laminate flooring upstairs needs looked at as some of it has moved - need to nail it down and get the right bits for doorways so that it all looks nice since it just had metal strips down from when there was carpet everywhere and not carpet one side laminate the other.

Update time

Okay so what has happened since my last actual post (the 2 below they are side notes).
Well let me see, in no particular datal order.
I've been to the Dental Place - they went to try and fix the tooth I said was bugging me and they can't fix it really it will have to come out or it will give me more grief. So I've to book another appointment and get an impression taken so that I can have that tooth and a few others that are now missing (darn sweet tooth of mine, well that and forgetting to brush sometimes).
So yeah basically I'm gonna end up with a few teeth that ain't my own - lovely.
Remember the house, well there is defiantly no wallpaper left or carpets they have all gone. There was a wardrobe that I was going to take to pieces and bring down but I never got that chance, FUCKING impatient BITCHES sorry sisters of mine decided not to wait even although the arranged collection date was oh a week away, all the stuff to be picked up was picked up last Wednesday, they needed it out so out it came but it would fit around the corner of the stairs so they basically destroyed the handrail, spindles and baseplace on one side of the stairs, so they could get this thing out, it went out in bits. Now I'm having to replace that as well, was hoping not to just sand it down so it could be painted but NO!!! I think you can imagine the sort of anger level I hit at when I saw it.
Oh and I get this bullshit about "picking sides" again, when will those 2 learn I've picked already but they are too stupid to notice.
On another note, the new carpets are picked and mum went back to the place she's getting her new suite from and saw a few items she like that were exactly as she wanted..

Oh yeah speaking of things mum likes, I was asked to go pick some stuff up on the way home one day from the local Argos, I just managed to fit it in the car, it was bit tight shall we say. I had the next day off due to car getting a new sump fitted, well £ 194 later it was done..
Anyway I'm at home and the rest of the Argos order arrives and I'm like What the freaking hell is all this doing here, oh that and mum's not pleased either.
They had ordered a new dinner service (we hated the cups), new kettle n toaster set - we can never get a toast that toasts just right it's either black/deep brown or white instead of the golden colour we like - don't need either of them. Bread bin - we got one of them and it's useable, also to match it tea, coffee & sugar containers - both went back no need for them. Black Marble place mats - I was like erm "NO" - sent back as mum didn't like at all. New Cutlery to go with it all - looked shit. This was all put up the stairs out the way, it was then brought back down put in the sitting room by my older sister, younger one had to go pick up le brat I mean the nephew, she then Stormed out - toys out the pram style, bank card was handed back with words like "there so you can accuse me of stealing your money!", done in a not very nice way really. It was all done to fact that all the stuff was bought but no receipts were ever given to my mum so she could see how much she was spending, I now have all of them, the stuff went back to Argos and the money is back in the account.
I've got around to sanding down the woodwork that needs doing so that it can be painted and I've sourced a new hand rail, base rail, spindles - I just need to get them from the shop home, they won't fit in car, 2.4m long no way, going to have to work that one out.
The decorator will be here at the end of the month.
Oh the weather this week wasn't too bad - pity all the good stuff happened while I was stuck in the office... was around low 70's all week, weekend it rained.
Work however is good.

Situation: Vacent!

This is an automated message, the owner of this blog is currently unavailable....
NO not really, but well it kinda does sum up roughly, approximately where I am at present.
That place is somewhere, at least I'm sleeping a bit better (without pharmaceutical help). My dad was transfered to a hospice within the local hospital to give mum some much needed "space" my dad is a pain in the ass normally but now he is more so, he went in on Monday morning. We had to call the doctor in on Sunday,he was given an injection of some description I wasn't there but we had to get a neighbour in to carry him to bed as he really couldn't walk. I was actually able to get a fair amount of sleep last night so it's helping me as well. Mum is doing better so it's helping the only thing is I'll have to make sure she really limits any drinking she does late at night as well between the pills she has been given and the alcohol she ends up cooking stuff and then the next day not realising she done it, she doesn't burn anything and it tidy enough so she's aware at the time.
Oh and this is just a thanks to all of you who are taking time even if just a moment to think of my family, me I'll be fine, just pray for my parents.
On a lighter and brighter note it appears that the bone headed one aka my sister is talking to my mum again they had a long conversation the other day and it seemed to work.

Post Christmas Post

Sorry couldn't resist the title, well another week over and done with I suppose.
So what did I get given to me:
Another bleeding winter car care kit - like I need one of those, still got the last one :P, 2 bottle of Morgan's Spiced Rum :D, a couple of new light weight jackets, a new watch that I'll need to get adjusted for my slender wrist :P, some clothes, a little bit of chocolate, a miniature of bailey's n a glass and a few other bits n pieces.
I gave good presents I hope :P.
Now as to how the rest of the crew here, mum is a little better but not much she's now taking antibiotics as it appears the wound on her head is a little infected :|, Dad isn't so hot either, having trouble breathing - thinks it the same thing as he's had fluid on the lung, he's had his meds changed and he's now got a nice recliner chair - I wannna know where's mine!
Oh well I'll get there once I've done the cooking, cleaning, washing n ironing - basically I'm "Mother" now to the 2 kids that my parents are becoming, I swear my sisters are like that > "||" close to snapping and telling them where to go that's how annoying they are with them, me I don't see that as I when I'm in they are either just getting up or they've been up all day and are thus tired.
I'm having to hit the ground running as well I do know how to do this stuff just not needed to until now, I do cook but I guess I'll be doing that and a lot more.
So if someone wants to pass the prozac now I'll get going :D

An a week on.....

Well a week on and it's all change.
Mum got home on Monday much to me and my sister's surprise, she's still not 100% and is getting frustrated because she can't get out the word she really wants to say. Social Work has been involved they were here on Wednesday and again yesterday "assessing" what is needed - I feel this should have been done BEFORE mum got out but there you go that's how it works these days :|, None of us here are sure what's going on really so it's a fucking pain in the ass I've no doubt it will take a week or so to settle down I guess doesn't freaking help I have to be at work all day. My aunt went back home on Wednesday morning as I wouldn't let her miss her grandson's first Christmas and she wasn't going to either :), which brings me to another thing I tried to order her a nice bottle of 12 yr old Antiquary for a shop I know the specialises in whisky in Edinburgh but alas I mistyped my googlemail address - gogglemail ftw :| and thus it wasn't till I used another e-mail address that I found out the freaking bank had apprently declined my card - I called the bank they couldn't see WHY it would have happened as I have plenty funds in my account etc.. So I'll just have wait and see if I get the bottle at all. Works been a no-fun week as well which hasn't helped any. I'm looking forward to a oh so fun filled weekend (not!) as it looks like number 1 mug here will have to do all the shit mum usually did so no relaxation for me :|. Oh well at least I have Christmas day off work!
Goes to find a glass n some ice - I need something cold!

Yeah I think I lost a day somewhere not sure actually it this could be any day this week they are all kinda blending into one at the moment and that's without the aid of alcohol thank you very much!
Okay last post so to speak mother was waiting to have a head scan, that got done pronto somehow as I went shopping thinking yeah I can finally get it all done maybe - silly me, I get a call to go to the hospital they want to see us, this came from oldest sister, yeah I got 2 so trouble in stereo! Anyway they said they had done the scan and were transferring her to a bigger hospital to have an operation done to drain the bruise that was causing all the problem, now the hospital where she was at was easy to get to, the bigger one is a pain in the ass as it was in Edinburgh which is further away and a nightmare to drive to/from. Operation was done sunday night both sisters went over and keep us updated as to what was happening.
I took Monday off so a few things could get done and I could take dad an my aunt over to see mum who was awake & flat on her back as she had to be - I just want to know what was in the oxygen ... :D
Back to work on Tuesday as there wasn't any point in taking more time off work.
She was transfered back on Wednesday I was in the middle of nowhere with work and I didn't get back till late so didn't see her then. I saw her yesterday evening and unless you've had a friend or relative who has had this kind of operation or suffers from it's not Alzheimer's but it's along that sort of line, we get half sentences then she struggles with a word she's trying to say and the hands are going as normal and it's oh it's what-a-call-it,etc but the frustration is there you could see it and I was getting tense as well as there wasn't anything I could do other then tell her to calm down, slow down and try again as gently as possible. It was good to see her and we got all the gossip that was going on in the ward of course, typical mother really well almost sometimes she wasn't quite there but it was good to see her.
Now to just get Social Services involved as there is no way on earth they can cope without help of some sort from them. Dad is doing good as he was worried but every visit perked him up a little :)
Might be out for Christmas might not be that's the thing...

Here, There and somewhere else

Okay a recap of the last fortnight with me and what freaking fortnight it's been, that's 2 weeks for those that don't understand :P.
Well since mom's little slip she was fine the first week, work was okay as well getting stuff sorted out, work cleared done so it's clear over the Christmas break, it was working out just about....
Colleague handed in his notice, hmm if I was 1 he was a 1/2, a total freaking TOOL, never seemed with it at all really, he's gone to upstate NY to follow his "johnston" that's the most polite way I can put it.. Now last friday,the 30th,in the afternoon we all sat down and planned out what was jobs needed to be done for the next week, he was there and we said you'll have a few alarm services on various days and was needed here and there for stuff to which he agreed - week planned out, job done...... NO! I come in Monday morning, do what I normally do 9am comes and no colleague although his Time keeping was never good, boss gets a call and in a voice that sounded "typewriter" like he was told that basically something had come up and he wouldn't be back! The thing is he had his own tools in the back of one of the company vans and they were gone, they had to have gone on the Friday, so we then sat and replanned the week, I went with the boss to sort some of our kit for a customer and well let's just say the air in the van on the way was "Blue", So we struggled all week but got through it - would have gotten more done IF something I had asked to be changed had arrived when it was supposed to not 4 days and god knows how many calls later, we do that on tuesday. So nice stressful week at work.
Now scroll back to the friday, I comes in at my usual time, mum's okay asks me to go get something from the shop while she makes my fish n chips, never noticed anything, but I knew my aunt was coming up a day early to surprise her. You know what they say about the best laid plans... This one went tits up really badly..
My aunt has 3 daughters, middle daughter and her hubby were bring her up in the car, they didn't bother the tell eldest daughter what was going on and of course on the friday she went to visit her mum did she not, no mother so she phones the "world" instead of her sisters mobile, got mother slightly worried I tried to reassure her and keep the plan under raps but she couldn't get her nor my cousin who was coming up so she smelt a rat and was panic'd a little and got to know what was happenning.
I of course had to let everyone know she knew without letting her know.
Come 9pm when they were due mother wasn't feeling right and had slurred speech, so called a neighbour who's a nurse, she called the "nhs 24" helpline - they got an ambulance sent out and they let her out at around 1:30am after giving her the all clear - nothing was said about the bump on the head, she did look better, they reckon it was a mini-stroke, they gave it a fancy name but I can't rememeber it.
Now of course over the past week I've at work and not really been away of what's been going on I just thought she'd was tired due to the day she'd had but it turns out she's been tired all week :| and was feeling sick and generally not herself. So called the nhs24 line 3 times, 1st time no doctor was sent out, recalled it got a doctor out who gave her something for the nausea, the last time another doctor came out and looked at her said didn't think she needed to go in to hospital to let the tablets take effect and he'd try and get something arranged for today as it was an effort for her to go from her bed to the bathroom. He came back out this morning and looked at her again got her admitted to hospital where she's being looked at right now they're gonna do a scan sometime today or tomorrow morning at the latest.
How am I holding up, I'm doing okay - I know I have friends all over the place that are keeping me in their thoughts and prayers.

Life - Update!

Well the past 2 weeks have gone where I don't know but gone some place and now I'm finally on holiday hurrah!
To update those of you who are interested.......
My dad had more tests and another x-ray taken the other day and is scheduled to have another scan done in a few weeks then he goes to see the specialist to see what he can sort out. He's been feeling crap up to this point but seems to have brightened up now he knows what's going to happen. No car which means muggins here is having to go shopping on a Saturday, oh the joys!
There have been days when I've just felt like beating my pretty (well some call it that) head against the proverbial brick wall as sometimes I think I'm in a no-win situation over something or other. Having to appear strong and silent and not show anything just well argh I don't know anymore! That was the whole reason for the last few posts - totally left field and ***beats head off wall again*** you know where I'm coming from don't ya...
Oh and I'm beyond help!
